Buying new set of headphones, choosing between Sennheiser HD439 or HD449

Hey guys, I've been looking at the Sennheiser HD439 and HD449, and wanted to find the right one for me. I'm more into the rock, progressive type music, and was wondering which one you guys thought would suit me better. Thanks

I already bought a HD 439, but they will arrive only in Sunday

For me, the Velour pads of 439 is better suitable, and, if they are the improved version of 4x8 series,
I think the 439 have more bass, good with rock, etc... and the 449 have a more detailed, neutral sound, good with acoustics, for example.

I'm not good describing it, and I don't know too much to recommend a can to you, sorry =/

Try the new 449. Looks to be interesting. It's also not too expensive. Let us know what you think.

yeah i definitely agree with this. hd449 has a pretty neutral sound.

cannot comment on 439 since i have not heard them.
