It's better to get a DAC/Amp than only an amp.

A DAC is basically your sound-card, it is very important to sound quality.

Are you buying on the internet or in a store? If on the internet, here's some new  suggestions for you:

- Musiland Monitor 03

- Creative Aurvana Live!

An Ibasso D-Zero is a good DAC/amp for it's price. It's around 110 US dollars.

No.

Awesome build quality. Cool looking. Sound? Geh. Weird spikes in treble, very grainy sounding headphone. They say "it's designed that way because its meant to be used for DJ's at that volume with that environment... blah blah blah". Listening to it at home? Get another headphone. I bought one to try it out and it was on sale for $75. Not worth $75 even. I think for $50 they might pass, simply due to build quality. But for sound? I laughed how a $30 Panasonic HTF600 sounded better in every way.

Now.. the Vmoda M80, that's a different story. Excellent headphone. Butter smooth, good thump, great build quality. Worth every penny. If you can stand on-ear.

Very best,
