Does anyone know anything about the Teac A-H300?

Thread Starter
One of my friends is trying to get rid of his Teac AH-300 and I'm interested in it but I can't find any information on the amp anywhere on the internet. I'm interested in using it as a headphone amp to replace my JMT META but I seeing as how I can't find any information on the A-H300, I can't begin to make any comparisons between the opamps and the design of both amps. Auditioning is out of the question due to the fact he lives a few hours away from me. Any responses are appreciated.

You won't find much on Teac amps. I have a BX-330 that I thought sounded great until I got a vintage Marantz unit. I'm assuming the sound is similar to mine. If you're getting it REAL cheap I'd say go for it. If not, go find yourself a $100-$150 Marantz.

Teac A-H300

If your friend hasn't sold it yet, and you aren't interested in buying it, I'd be interested in purchasing the Teac A-H300 from your friend. Let me know.

PS. Below is a picture of the Teac A-H300 Amp. ... is this what your friend is trying to get rid of?

Oh my!
Way to BUMP a more than 4 1/2 year old thread. I am sure his friend have been able to sell it by now...

Get the A-H500 instead.

The 5 series TEAC mini components outperform the 3 series on every level save the small footprint.
The A-H500 also has a VERY good headphone out.

Nothing wrong with bumping old threads. Information is information and not all head-fiers are linear users. Many arrive through search engines etc.
