Seems some publications are finally catching up to the rest of the world that is already in the know. Nothing most of us don't already know, but I thought I'd pass it along none the less.

What exactly are we supposed to take from this article? That the author thinks he can hear a difference in what appears to be a sighted test?

I guess some people really just don't understand the concept of lossless compression.

 

Now I'm off to write and article explaining how digital photos stored as PNG files don't look as good as uncompressed TIFF files. ph34r.gif

Must be using one very broken player or broken codecs if there is indeed a difference. Anyone who's done real reading knows there is no difference between the two audibly.
