So Confused! :)

I didn't notice the E10, E15, E17 (were out/coming) and was doing all my research based on the E7/E9 combo. I saw too many people with problems with the E7/E9 combo with Windows 7 64bit so I opted to just buy the E9 and figured I could add an E7 later when I felt safer about it. (the problems I read ranged from the windows not seeing the dac at all, to only getting 1 channel).

 

Now I see all these other options and I am not sure what is better.

 

I have the E9, should I get an E17 to dock with it, or should I just sell the E9 and buy an E15 when it comes out? Or is there any reason I couldn't just use the E10 by itself?

 

This is 100% for desktop use, I wanted cleaner louder audio with volume control for my headphones on my desktop. Primarily gaming, some music.

E10 should be sufficient for your needs. Its a DAC and amp, and has got good reviews so far.

So in your opinion I should sell the E9 and get an E10 instead? Would getting an E17/E15 instead be even better?

well my teacher has them and i was thinking of recommending a fiio E10 to him. change the thread title to Fiio E10 to beyer DT770 80ohm? you may get more replies, and it would answer my question, if it drives them well.

The E7 is fine with windows 7 64bit, I've never had any problems with it I can even use it as a usb dac with nokia n8 the e7 isn't relant on drivers.

Are you using it WITH the E9?

 

The problem only seems to be when docked with the E9.
