No. Just buy the one in the FS forum and report back to us about it.

Actually I meant the used one in the FS forum.

Unfortunately you're too late - it appears the listing was just closed yesterday...

Here's a screenshot from the page

Here's the link and screenshot to what the page was like before it was changed. Bargain compared to what the junkie guy is selling it for!

Must be a fail of an amp for the guy to sell it off after 30 hrs of usage and at half the price Todd sells em for.

LOL. That guy's constantly raving about malvalve products and defending them on this site!

I suppose the guy's from Europe so it was probably purchased there. European price is EUR4000 which is USD5224 using today's fx rate...

It's pretty much the industry standard here on HF that people get a healthy discount if they promise to write non stop about the product.  That could be a factor here...

Is it? wow, I never heard of that.

Hmm, I'm pretty good at blabbering endlessly on this site... how much of a discount can I get, and where do I apply?

Sort of defeats the purpose if people knew the info they were reading was bought and paid for.

Just got my new pair of Koss ESP 950. Compared to my old Stax Sr-Lambda normal bias (which broke down a few weeks ago), the Koss is must more linear with a flatter frequency response. The sound is also more immediate -- things are happening near ears with greater detail.

On the other hand, my Lambda has a slightly raised upper midrange/lower high frequency.  As a result, the sound has a more, how can I put it, pin-point presentation (I am not talking about soundstage). The Koss is so accurate and linear that it doesn't have an identifiable "personality" that goes out its way to speak to me.

Tremendous phones, and I objectively appreciate the quality. But it may take me sometime to subjectively enjoy them.
