For Sale:
IC: Red Wine Audio Signature 30(.2) perfect match for K1000

Will Ship To: Anywhere

Looking for funds to upgrade to monoblocks (Signature 70.2 or upcoming Liliana).

I am the original owner and I bought this amp from Vinnie via Angelsound Audio (invoices will be sent with the sale) in July 2007.
The amp I ordered is a Signature 30. In March 2008, I sent the amp to Vinnie for a partial upgrade to Signature 30.2 (it does not have the look of 30.2 but it does have the sonics of a 30.2). I have all necassary documents (invoices) to prove that I am the original owner.
Looking for a reasonable sale price (import duties and shipping charges I had to pay to buy and upgrade this amp are excluded in the FS price).

This amp is a very good match for the Akg K1000, and decent speakers (it can drive a wide range of high-end speakers).

Uprade to 30.2 specifications:

Power output 30 Watts RMS per channel into 8-ohms at 0.04% THD+N
Recommended nominal speaker impedance 4 to 16 ohm
Input Impedance 20k, or 100k (power amp)
Input sensitivity Approx. 0.5 Vrms

1. Provides dead quiet operation, relaying a natural non-hifi sound without glare or harshness.
2. Really locks into the bass groove, providing an exciting underpinning to almost all music.
3. Conveys the natural warm tone I hear in live music.

Many amps I've owned do one or two of the above well. None I've had do all three as well as the 30.2. The fact that I need not mess with an extra interconnect to a preamp or with a power cords makes the RWA even more of a gem!"

The input capacitor certainly has a strong influence on the sound but the strongest on the 30.2's sonics is the redesigned output filter stage. It is radically different than that of the Sig 30 or any other Tripath-based amp you will come across. It is a new design with different parts, different filtering characteristics, point-to-point wiring etc. However, the music reproduced by the 30.2 is really the carefully selected synergy of all components, including the SLA battery power and power supply decoupling cap and bypass caps, the entire input stage and output stage and their components

What kind of price are you looking for?

Vinnie would offer me $1500 USD if I do the trade up plan.

Vinnie: "I can offer you $1500 for your Sig 30, so the Sig 70.2 Monoblockswould cost $3700 + shipping.

However, please note we are coming out with new monoblocks at the endof the year that are superior"

I would have done this deal already if I was living North America but if I buy if from inside Europe then I would have to add +/- 21% import tax to the price of a new amp.
So I am trying to sell it and buy some 2nd hand (RWA Sig 70.2) or other new/2nd hand mono blocks.

I don't know how much I could get for it right now without a trade-up plan from Vinnie.

Anyone knows if it would be possible to use 2x RWA Sig 30.2's as monoblocks?

I know they are built for 2 channels.

* Signature 30.2: 30 Watts RMS per channel into 8-ohms at 0.04% THD+N

* Signature 70.2:35 Watts RMS per channel into 8-ohms at 0.04% THD+N
70 Watts RMS per channel into 4-ohms at 0.04% THD+N

Pumps out twice the maximum current compared to our Signature 30.2 LFP-V Edition

Complete isolation between channels. Separate battery packs. Separate vacuum-tube stages.

I might better check this out at Audiocircle

IC cancelled

Reason: I have decided to read and look for a passive or active preamp that can enchance both my speaker and headphone rig and hopefully I will get my hardwired Akg K1000 back

Thanks for looking
