This is for a pair of Meelectronics HT-21 which I made custom wooden earcups for. This was my first wooden cup experience. After researching the wooden T50RP mods for wooden cups, I figured it couldn't hurt to try it on a pair of cheap phones I already had to see how it would look and sound. To my amazement, the sound is soo much better. I would add more o's to soooo, but I need to keep it short. The stock HT-21 sound wonderful in the mids/highs but they lacked bass. These now sound almost exactly like the Sennheiser HD-555 which is pretty amazing for such a small set. I would say that I actually like these better than those now though. Even modded, the HD-555 doesn't touch the bass these things have now. Well I might be exaggerating just a little bit but these are excellent all around headphones. For the price I am asking, you can't go wrong considering they are almost fully modded. I used a 26 Awg or 24 Awg silver teflon wire on them and a 3.5mm end plug. I used white wood for the wood species as well as acoustic foam for sealing them tight to the cups. They aren't exactly as portable as they once were because you can't fold them inwards. The headband is very fragile so you need to take care when handling these. The cups were too big to fit into the stock headband bracket, so I took them off and drilled a hole at the top of the cups and filled it with hot glue. It works just fine, but you need to be careful. These would make excellent headphones for a laptop or mp3 player. Please ask any questions!
