Yes they're good. But how broke are you? I'm guessing less than $20? That's the only thing that comes to my mind atm. I'm no expert with very cheap headphones though.

Completely relative.

I think the HD598 and HD650 are decent. Some think they're really good. You know? Unfortunately Sennheiser has a lot of products in most market tiers, so they have a lot of mediocre and downright poor headphones out there with their name on them.

Very best,

Happy 2,400th post MalVeux! beerchug.gif

Personally I love my HD598s. Although I haven't heard many other circum-aural cans I can truthfully say I'm completely happy with them.

Koss ktxpro .   Lifetime warranty and sound good .   Maybe not the most comfortable but they sound very good for the price.

You'll probably do best with IEM's for the money, if you can stand IEM's. I would point you to the portable/IEM board for assistance there as more people will be able to answer IEM type questions.

Otherwise, look into maybe things like the Shure SRH440, Panasonic HTF600, JVC HARX700, AudioTechnica M30's, Sennheiser HD428's, etc.

Very best,

Not sure if this is a bit of a stretch since you didn't actually state your budget, but Sound Professionals has the Audio Technica ATH-M40FS for $49 discount and ATH-M50 for $109 right now (coupons are on the product pages)

PortaPros, KSC75 are excellent value headphones.

Otherwise, go with an IEM. Meelec, Brainwavz and SoundMagic are good inexpensive brands based on my experiences.

+1 on the Koss PortaPro

if you're looking for good sounding, inexpensive headphones

KSC75's.  For $15, they're ridiculous.
