I think Justin knows what he is talking about, but that doesnt make him an automatic expert on everything. When it comes to the iPod, I respect what Vinnie has to say about the earlier Classic models, but I'm not going to slavishly go out and buy a 5 year old iPod simply because the cool kids on Head-Fi tell me its the player to own. If I was prepared to buy used kit, it would be another X1060 to replace the unit that I had stolen almost 18 months ago.

I am not saying that at all. I am saying they know what they are talking about and they have posted that the 6g classic is better sounding and cleaner signal than its predecessors.

And if that makes you happy, then run with it. Fortunately, there are plenty of other choices in the DAP market.

I agree there are plenty of other choices. My issue is people jumping on the band wagon with out comparying themselves and stating it as fact. If you truly listen to both and prefer one over the other then I say stick with it. However if one is just stating that one is better than the other without hearing all of them just be wise someone before him did the same is wrong. There is far too much of that going around. Its like people forget to use the search function and see what everyone thought when these versions came out and they jump on the bandwagon when they truly have no clue.

And truthfully I think the majority of the people posting could not tell a difference anyhow. Just like the encoding of the music.

I guess my point is don't rely on all the talk and try it for yourself.
