"fun" headphones

I'm hoping to get some quality headphones for christmas this year. I have a pair of kicker hp541 but wasn't that impressed though expectations weren't too high for a ~$50 headphone. I'm ready for an upgrade and wanted to get some last minute suggestions. I need a closed headphone because I don't want to disturb my roommate. I'll be powering these of my computer when at home and occasionally on my zune when out so lower sensitivity would be preferable. I've heard people on the forum refer to some headphones as "fun" rather than precise monitors which I think is what i'm looking for. I like a lot of bass but don't poor mids/highs. I listen to a variety of music like rock, hiphop, dubstep but I also enjoy calm instrumental music depending on my mood. I hoping to keep the budget to around or under $200. Maybe a little higher if necessary. While looking around I saw suggestions for ultrasone hfi-580, denon ad-d1100, atm-50m. Any other suggestions?

Maybe a Grado SR80i. The lower models of Grado headphones are pretty much synonymous with fun.

Ultrasones can be very fun depending on your preferences.  I'd go the 580.

Can't go wrong with the HFI-580's, however, something like Fischer FA-011's would be better when your not listening to electronica/hip-hop.

I'm really interested in getting an sr80i. They're relatively cheap but I've read that they leak a ton of sound.

Grados are nice, but not really for all your genres (hiphop, dub, edm, etc). They leak more than any headphone that is open in existence. They are the definition of leaking. Good headphones. But if you need isolation, they get the axe.

$200, closed, and fun. We can do that. Basically, that cuts out the AKG's & KRK's probably. So, let's look at some others:

Shure SRH840

Shure SRH750 DJ

Beyer Dynamic DT770 PRO

Ultrasone HFI 580 & 780

Denon D2000 (used)

Panasonic HTF600

AudioTechnica ESW9 (on-ear)

Vmoda M80 (on-ear)

Very best,
