Amazon has a listing (but out of stock) for the new Creative Labs Recon3D SB1350 PCI-E sound card.

Comes with a 600-Ohm headphone amplifier.

Suggested retail price is $104

It's really a toss up, because there are not really any review out on the Recon3D yet.

I guess I would go for the Recon3D just because it's a new design.

This card isn't good at all, you can read it here http://vr-zone.com/articles/creative-s-sound-core3d-gets-nekkid-in-front-of-the-camera/14353.html. They went backward, integrating DAC/ADC in the DSP itself. It won't sound any better than similarly priced X-Fi
