power my Mackie Hr824

Hi,

does anyone know if my pioneer sr780 receiver will power my mackie hr824 correctly

sorry if this sounds like a stupid question am new to all this

 

would appreciate any help thanks!

Yes you're good to go, you just need to feed it a line-level signal so your receiver's amp won't actually be powering the Mackie.

im assuming this is so i am now powering the active monitors twice correct?  so basically i am not using the stereo as an amp but essentially as a hub for my iMac and turntables as inputs?  also what type of device should i use for this?

For connecting 2 or 3 turntables you need a pro mixer. There are many to choose from. I assume you would like to keep it inexpensive. Here is just one example from Sweetwater, my favorite place to buy such things...excellent customer service from my experience with them.
