Help with warranty please --- GD AudioBase

First of all a big thank you to the headfi community.  With all the reviews and comments I purchased a few of the popular IEM's in this forum, DBA-02 being one of them.

I purchased my first pair about a year ago, but lost it on the bus after a few months.... nevertheless I am very satisfied with the sound, and purchased the second pair in March, via the same GD AudioBase website I got the first pair from, so yes I am their repeating customer.

Now back to the point... 2 months ago I can hear channel imbalance so I must return them, about a month ago(09/10/2011 to be exact) I finally contacted GD AudioBase, via contacts listed in GD AudioBase's website(http://gd-audiobase.com/index.php?option=com_contact&view=contact&id=1&Itemid=3).  There was no response after a week so I sent another email.

Guess what?  It's 20/11 now and there is still no response, absolutely nothing!!

For those who had to do return with GD AudioBase, how were your experiences compare to mine?  Are there more direct ways to contact them(Anyone called them?)

I am getting quite annoyed by this... Besides sending them an email every week, what else can I do?

Any help will be appreciated, thanks.

Sounds like your stuck with channel imbalance headphones, I'm guessing GD AudioBase has brushed you off.

You could try contacting the manufacturer of the headphones.

I will contact Fischer directly as the next step.  If nothing works, I will call GD AudioBase at work(using free Int'l minutes) and demand an explanation.

Meanwhile, I will keep this post updated, hope something will work out!

Let us know how it goes mate, I purchased Silver Bullet from them as well, so far so good, but your experience will be handy if something happens to my SB (tough wood that it won't)

I had one of the worst service from GD-Audiobase. Same dba-02 I received had channel imbalance and I sent it back to them to get it fixed/or replaced. Now lets look at the timeline. My order was place early june..product received August. Returned it August and received ZERO response until I threatened to post this bad experience on this board,, they said they never received returned item so can't help anything. End of October they said they received it but no stock of dba-02 so offered to send me something else,, I chose fa-003 and told them and never heard back since. I gave up and yes I swore myself never deal anything from these guys ever again. You are warned,,

Geez...that is no good, wish I'd known this I would have purchased by SB from somewhere else...

Like you guys here, I purchased my DBAs (amongst a handful of other FA earphones) from Dmitry at gd-audiobase, though through eBay before he setup the other website.

Also like you guys, I had the channel-imbalance issue. In my instance, once I told him about the issue, I sent the earphones back to him and emailed him with the tracking number of the returning earphones and he sent out a new pair to me before he even received my pair back. Overall, I've had very little issue when dealing with gd-audiobase. Just my two-cents.

man... you are at the very end of the return process... why not keep pushing them?

the key point is: "End of October they said they received it " which means they owe you fa-003 or whatever the replacement should be

xaf, when did your channel imbalance issue happened? last year?

from the feedback on head-fi, seems like noone complained about GD-Audiobase until mid 2011

I am only stating the facts here:

"20/11/11 I emailed them again, with the exact same email I sent twice already in beginning of October.  This time I added the weblink of this forum post on top of my message

about 12 hours later I received a reply from Dmitry Glovatsky of GD-A already, stating the return address

will send it off this Saturday to Russia via Express Post w/ tracking"

I do hope all my efforts will yield a happy ending down the road, and serves as a reference for those of you who have purchased products from them, or are just about to do so

cheers
