How do Simaudio or Cambridge Audio integrated amp headphone outputs measure up

Thread Starter

I am setting up a bedroom listening system for 2 channel audio through speakers as well as a headphone option. I plan on getting either Grado SR325i or Alessandro M2i cans. Source will be squeezebox v.3 fed to a dac and an integrated stereo amp or dedicated headphone amp. Preferred music is acoustic , blues , and folk rock.

I am considering the simaudio moon 100d DAC  and a simaudio moon i.5 amp. It has a headphone output and is supposed to have a  good headphone amp but I am wondering the thoughts of this group. I like the idea of the integrated amp so I can add room speakers for the room and not have to run a dedicated headphone amp if I can avoid it.

The other option for the integrated is a Cambridge Audio azur 650 ( lower cost than the moon)

I am wondering if these integrated amps have decent internal headphone amps or should I just look at a separate headphone amp?

I appreciate any comments.

I'm not sure about the integrated amps you mentioned but the Peachtree integrated amps would be a great choice.
