SRH940/SRH840 pads for the SRH440

I tried to search for appropriate threads but failed to come up with any so here it goes. I have the SRH440 and I really like them, but more breathable pads would be nice plus that the original stock pads are now hardening up and cracking. Many people here recommend the SRH840 pads but how about SRH940 pads? Do they fit? Any experiences with that modification? Any idea how much do the -940 pads cost?

I think they will fit just fine, if the srh840 pads able to fit the 440 than the 940's also compatible with the 440. but the problem is will it affect the sound, and if it does, will it be negative or positive changes...

Mike from Headfonia.com tried to swap pads between the 840 and 940, and he didn't like the sound, it seems like they are made for each series and to its own. I'd suggest go for the 840's instead of the 940's pads, since the 840 pads has almost the similar material with the stock 440 pads..

cheers
