[Problem] Crunching in AIAIAI TMA-1 Headphones

I've had this problem twice now with these amazing TMA-1s but it seems that after about a month of use, the pads of the headphones start to make a loud "crunching" noise whenever pressure is applied to them. I don't know if this is a problem found in many on-ear headphones but it has been sad that I thought it was a single instance but it is recurring. If there is a reason why this is happening (I don't think it is a problem with the pads but the chasis), then hopefully I can fix this issue. Thanks.

I've had mine for a couple months (around 2-3 months) and have never had this. My HD650's made a lot of plasticy creaking sounds, but never have my TMA-1's made any sound other than music.

Actually I just noticed that besides crunching, it rattles when playing deep/loud bass is playing fairly loudly. Almost as if the wires were knocking around in there. Sadly it seems this is an isolated case.

its actually a good thing its isolated.. else everybody else would have the issue.

 

Sad to hear its happening to your pair though.
