i just got these, listened to them using the earbuds that come with them and i found them to sound airy and overall sounded like the crappiest headphones in the world

 

Just changed earbuds for some sony ones

 

MIND= BLOWN

 

i can't believe that the covers make that much of a differnce before there was no bass and crappy sound and now they are awesome

 

these are some nice headphones

 

seriously they are awesome for studying in the library when you don't want people to hear what your listening to (zelda techno)

 

tried the tape trick and the bass on these things is pretty impressive

Never heard the term zelda techno but if its something like Kraftwerk, I am all in.

If I knew before hand, I may have considered them. But I already pulled the trigger on the MP8320s

I really wish shipping to Australia wasn't about $30AUD otherwise I'd be all over these, are there any Aussie resellers? or any US shops that'll ship to Aus cheap-ly?

They're great arn't they? BTW I have zelda techno too, how can you study to that??

Yes, i got them and thas why i am absolutly sure you will love them. Bigger, thicker sound, much more detailed, the bass is mind blowing (not bass cannon), wider soundtage and no hazzle using them (maybe the cord).

They are still under $30 so get them , prices are going up fast. Heck, i would gladly pay $40 for them.

I like the MH1C, nice, comfy. My only complaint would be the gobs of bass.

Seems like the hype train never stops. Although I have benefited from the hype with the 8320s and am thankful to DSNuts. However, I have pretty much learned whats my preferred sound signature and now I can pretty much decipher what hyped headphone will interest me. Asking a lot of questions on the type of sound and if available a FR graph can really nail it for me. I definitely do not like a V shaped frequency response. Balanced is the way to go for me.

Well, so far this thread has hit "some random" Phillips (3580) and numerous OVC (monoprice) IEMs. I think the commonality is just relatively cheap IEMs. Yes, it's about the 8320, but I don't think it's particularly inappropriate to talk about other cheap IEMs.
