Here is a link with a picture of one.  They were about $5 at my hardware store.  Monoprice or other China exporters should have one.

There is also a suggestion on opening the 8320.  Reference is included to the first post here with detailed instructions.

Edit:

It sure is funny how much difference these tips make.  The MP9 DOUBLE flange sounds bad to me.  Heh, "thin".  I also can't keep them in my ears.  The original tips fit and sound so much better.  I need to try the Comply tips soon.

They were difficult to get from where I live, but it was definitely worth it! Now I'm a proud owner of these ridiculously valued IEMs. I'm still impressed by the sound these things can pull out basshead.gif

Thankyou for that link. I was actually looking for that pic so I could describe it to somebody. I'm picking up new wire stripper, do you have any suggestions? I'm having a bit of trouble not slicing the thin wires. Thanks.

If you want to be more impressed, put tape on the ports next to the nozzle and poke a couple holes . The bass really comes out and adds warmth to the sound. A much more balanced sound IMO. Amazing sound for something so cheap or otherwise.

I usually don't like warm sounding IEMs, but I'll try it anyway. Thanks for the tip ;)

Is the housing so terrible on these? I wanted to replace the housing but I don't think there are any guides on that.

No, hasn't been done yet, the housing isn't the best, perhaps you can write a guide.

My Image S4s are starting to let go after a little over a year of daily use. I was intrigued in getting these as a replacement, but I'm concerned of the size. The best fit by far of ANY earbud I've ever tried has been the Image S4 with the medium oval tip. Will these fit me well?

Will this headphone work well for me? Are they easy to put on? I usually use my Image S4s on the go.

I use a shirt clip, so microphonics from the cable cloth shouldn't be a problem.

Don't know nothing of the S4s. However, what worked for me after trying to fit these and it's been difficult is to use small tips(from a pair of Panasonic Rje120s)  and lift my ear to straighten my ear canal and then insert and release . That has given me the proper seal that I needed. The nozzles are large and these require some trial and error to get a good fit. I did use the earplug ear tip mod for a few days and then found those not to work that well.

I have never been bother by the microphonics of the cloth cable but I will warn you that the cable is actually a LIVE SNAKE (lol). It will tangle and twist on it's own(very tangle prone). Funny but true and annoying.

I have to say, these things are fantastic! I just got my 4 pairs shipped here a few days ago, and already, 3 of them have been taken by friends who l've let listen to. Every one of them have been seriously impressed. And after hearing the price, jaws instantly drop. I've got 3 more pairs on order now! And I thought I would be able to save these to give out for Christmas...rolleyes.gif

I really like my own pair as well. The shells seem pretty sturdy (I dare say, better than the Westone shells). Cable kinks too much though, and the nozzles are way too big and shallow to get a deep seal. Using the Hybrids on them now, and the midrange immediately stands out as being some of the flattest and clearest that I've heard under $50. And that soundstage...they can't image as well as the W4s, or even the ER4Ps, but again, those are 20-50x the price of the Monoprices. The tonal balance sits very, very well with me (as in, not stupidly V-shaped). Only thing really lacking in sound is bass extension and texture. That's about it. The amount of things they do well are breathtaking for the price.

700

I've been trying to break these since I received my first pair to see how strong they are.  I've fallen asleep and woke up tangled up in them, I've used them as nunchucks and swung them againest the wall till the screens flew out.  I let my cats play with them.  I always pull them out of the jack by the wire.  Ive stripped all the fake screws trying to open them up.  One side has a big gouge in it from me trying to open them up by the top.  As hard as I tried to open them, I'm surprised I didn't crack the shell.  Besides the missing screens, the only negative effect so far is these odd loops that cant be fixed.

The odd loop is caused by the two layers not fitting anymore. You can cut it so the loop isn't there anymore or  try to pull one way.

I ordered a pair and I'll see how good they are.

What higher end headphone would you say they are similar to?

Can someone give me some measurements of the bud size? Or maybe a picture next to a quarter for reference?

Trying to get a good idea of how big these are. I don't want to "throw away" $8 if I can help it.

i have the image s4s as well, comfort-wise these are no where near as comfortable as the klipsch. just remember when you get the 8320s you tape the hole by the nozzle to increase the bass, let it burn in at least 48-60 hours. and i used other tips, the one it came with is pretty bad. and make sure you use the over ear method for the cable to reduce the cable noise cause the cable noise on these things are crazy. and the ridges on the headphones rub against the ear as well.

sounds like a lot of cons but once you do all that and achieve the right seal, you'll be rewarded with clarity the s4s can't match, you'll notice a loss of thumping bass compared to the s4s even if you seal the hole with tape. but that aside you'll have clearer mids and highs. Plus its just 7 bucks. i bought my s4s for $55 this may and so you can see how many 8320s u can go through before it adds up to the price of 1 s4. Plus i think these are a bit more durable than the s4s anyway

Note bass is not gone, but its not as thumping as the s4s but it does extend pretty far.

btw the tips i used are the mediums from some cheap philips earphones. so finding the right tips is essential.
