Yeah, I agree here. But, the message was to other Head-Fiers, not to Monoprice. If you want more SQ, just get some upgraded tips. The ones from my Xtreme Xplosives work great.

Yeah, I noticed that. After side by siding the two I almost can't stand my FX101's. So much sibilance. Never noticed how how they were for some reason.

A tip for those with iPhones.

 

1) Turn on the "Loudness" equalizer setting.

 

2) Profit.

The reason I can't wear them for so long is just the pressure that builds up inside of my ears. It hurts after about 30 minutes.

I notice that too. It's as if the bass pounds for 20-40 minutes and then fades. It's not the earphones, it's your ears fighting back with pressure. Like going up a mountain and needing to clear your ears.

 

Can't say i have noticed that, and i have worn them for extended periods sometimes.  I guess i am lucky.

So out of box, first listen with medium Sony hybrid tips and on a casual listen I hear very little difference in terms of overall quality versus my hisoundaudio golden crystal. Upon a more intensive a/b test I'm able to find where the monoprice falls short.

I'm definitely impressed. These are much better than the jvc hafx101 which is also really nice.

This is one of the reasons why I don't mind not having sub-bass extension on headphones (in-ears in particular). To my ears, anything below 20-30hz is more air pressure than sound. The problem with in-ears is that, this pressure doesn't disperse on the ear naturally, but instead gets focused into the ear canal. This shouldn't be (/=would be less of) a problem with circumaurals, I guess.

I find the 8320's to have spectacular midrange. Bass is decent, nothing to write home about and not for bassheads. Highs are nice, not sibilant in anyway shape or form. Overall just a darn good sounding even pair of headphones. It really takes some quick A/B'ing to hear the difference in other IEMs.

For anyone interested, got a text this morning saying they're back in stock at Monoprice. I went ahead and ordered a pair but got them on Amazon instead as they were about a buck cheaper after Monoprice's shipping. Can't wait to compare them to my growing stable of iems. :-)

Geez, I'm an Amazon Prime member and never noticed I could buy Monoprice stuff with free shipping. You are right - it is cheaper even though the base price is more.

Can you buy it through prime now? When I tried to purchase them, they weren't prime eligible.

i used my 3580 medium tips on the 8320,  problem solved,  got a perfect seal and they sound very nice.

Bass is Ok,  Mids are nice, Highs are nice, no silibance.. but overall, i prefer the 3580 (not by much)

 

The 8320 are cheap and sound nice, but its a pain to find a tip that fits correctly.
