Can't you send a USPS int'l flat rate box for 10-15 bucks?  So if someone in the US wants to order them and ship them out people in other countries could get them significantly cheaper.

Any I just ordered 2 pairs ($15.90 shipped) and while I'm not as experienced as most of you are, I'll post my impressions when I get them.

This is true..With some organization for the guys outside of the US. You all can get these for a very reasonable price...

2 pairs.? Thats the way to do it..I just hope you guys all hear them as I have.. For the guys just getting these. It might be a good idea to look into some extra tips for these..As with any IEM if you don't get a good solid fitting tip that seals correct you might as well be listening to ibuds.

I just sold my Brainwavz B2($130~) after getting a pair of Xears TDII($40). Any of these iems are small enough that I really think they can be manufactured cheaply and most are just a heap of markups. Although $7 is pushing profit margins though, lol. let's see what people think.

The review that say the bass is lacking on these. I bet you half the iem was hanging on this guys ears when they were listening to music on these..I suspect that was from some dude that listens to Skull Candy skull crushers with bass and nothing else..The bass is very satisfactory on these.. I have other IEMs with more bass but that don't mean SQ on them are better.. I am a self proclaimed bass head myself, bass lacking on these? I think not.

I got something for you guys to do in the mean time.. Can you guys look for similar driver sized IEMs? 14.2mm
I think this driver size is the biggest I have seen. I checked out Jokers 205 iem review to see if there is anything that resembles these. Compared to most IEMs the drivers in these monoprice are huge in size.. I keep on thinking these drivers are used in another higher priced IEM.  Just a feeling I have. Most of the UFO dish shaped IEMs the ones that i have seen are all smaller in size.  They do kinda look like a blow dryer..Lol!

It's been consistently shown to me that price has absolutely nothing to do with quality. A lot of more expensive gear is expensive simply due to manufacturer markup. Even more exotic materials don't really add that much to the price. It's all markup, markup, markup.

I like the vertical driver design on these, it's become clear to me that for IEMs, a vertical driver design will almost always give a good increase in sound quality. Look at the Real Voice, which also had sound beyond its price range. Incidentally, these look like they have the same plastic-coated-in-chrome shell design that the Realvoice had -- no doubt will make them extremely light and as a result rather comfy.

I would like to try these out sometime but haha the shipping on these to me would be more expensive than the IEMs themselves. Like, maybe 5x more than the price of the IEM. Just not worth it.

The closest I've seen is the Spider RealVoice which has a 12.5mm driver. These are probably the largest currently existing drivers in an IEM at this point.

Ranked is stirring up buzz for another <$10 IEM: FocalPrice XKDUN CK-700. A challenger appears!

For those of you looking for another alternative big bass IEM that sounds really, really good, I would recommend this, the HiSound Audio Popo:

Got these images from a review a friend made.

It's from China but it's really, really good. Costs about $40, wood shells, fantastic red cable (doesn't tangle, very good memory characteristics), very impressive sound. Warm, laidback, but still quite engaging despite being laidback. Soundstage is quite good as a result.

There's a thread on these somewhere here on HeadFi.

The only dynamic drivers larger than 14.2mm that I know of are the the Sony MDR-EX600, EX800ST, and EX1000 with their ginormous 16mm drivers. The next size down is usually around 13.5mm, so these Monoprice phones are clearly in a class of their own as far as driver size is concerned. :D

the brookstone radius knockoffs has drivers: 7mm + 15mm Dual Diaphragm Matrix dynamic transducer.
they are fantastic. if i only had one headphone; not just iem. this clear dual driver would be it.

Man...just by reading the continuous hype of this IEM sooo make me want to buy one, total will be just under $50 if I buy 2, or $42 if I buy one, at the same time, Logitech shop AU has UE700 on sale for $99, another one that I want to buy...decisions...decisions...decisions...
