has anyone used a freight forwarder to purchase hadphones from the US/canada? or do the fees just end up outweighing any potential savings?

I have been buying lithium batteries (cr123) from overseas.

there's no issue receiving lithium batteries into australia, but australia post will not send lithium batteries back overseas. (they require you to sign that your package does not contain lithium batteries.)

Yep, I have used shipto and Tenso a lot of times, extremely happy with them, Shipto tends to get a little on the expensive side though...

I like Wellington much better myself, but I haven't been to Auckland in years (apart from the airport).

Wellington is a lot more sophisticated IMO. Pretty beautiful. Auckland feels like any other big city.

Gets too windy though.
