You do realise the term Straya was formed by a bunch of idiots that was originally used in a string as a slang? And no people don't always call Australia straya all the time except facebook illiterates, did the patroit's that died for our country call Australia 'straya'? Shortening our countries name to something that doesn't even completely sound the same just shows your laziness to even pronounce the whole thing which is in a way is disrespectful. Sorry for the rant, but I've been told off a few times for saying it so I'm passing the good habits onto somebody else.

What could be more australian than using shortened names and linguistic laziness. I'm pretty sure diggers aren't uptight about it. In fact being uptight is pretty unaustralian. ; )

Hi

I'm Perth based and new to Head Fi. Are there any meets planned anywhere in Aus this year?

Theres usually one or two in Melb/Sydney every year. Meets in Perth are generally coffee meets based on the last year or so.

Anyways welcome :-)

I spent a few hours at Addicted to Audio in Kew yesterday. If only my main hifi dealer was like this. They had amps out, warmed and waiting for me when I arrived and basically just left me to my own devices except when I wanted to change amps. No pushy sales spiel and very keen prices that make me buy local - this is what the future looks like in the world of internet commerce

I heard A2A will be expanding to Sydney, so you Sydney folks should be in for a treat when it does.

On the other hand: Are there any Aussies that own the Sennheiser Orpheus HE/HEV90?

I think wink has a HE60

side note: really enjoying your DT880s with some music haha, when do you want them back? :)
