Anyone from Melbourne kind enough to lend me a HE-6 for demo/mini meet? Can swap a LCD2 for demo :)

I put my name down for an Alo RX3 today at Addicted to Audio.  It is good to be able to support an Aussie business even if it is on the other side of the country.

I usually go to Melbourne 2 or 3 times a year for work so am hanging out to nip off to see ADA.  

I went half way through the A2A web page where you buy the RX3.  It doesnt tell you that it is not in stock until after the payment page from what I could see?  Does anyone know?

You can demo a pair in store at Jaben in Lonsdale St. They have them well-amped with a First Watt clone speaker amp.

On ALO's site they aren't going to be released until March. I heard a prototype in Tokyo though and it was impressive for a portable amp.

Thats a bugger.. did you think A2A had the amp already before ALO had released it? I just assumed George didn't have it seeing that ALO haven't released it yet. Either way $699 Aussie pesos including postage is pretty good considering ALO's postage rates. He has the HD700 listed as well but that isn't flagged for release in the US until 25th March.

I am not sure about release date through an agent versus release direct from ALO.  Initially I made the enquiry before A2A even had it listed but ALO had it up on their page.  I was hoping that the A2A pricing was the same as the other ALO products in that it is the same price AUD as ALO lists in USD.  Unfortunately the price for the RX3 is $50 higher than the US price.  As you say, this is cancelled out by postage from ALO.

I would like to support A2A for supporting our hobby but after waiting approx 4 months already for this amp....it will include many hurt and anxiety units if I am sitting waiting whilst the US soaks in the RX3 goodness.
