Schiit Valhalla

Just picked up a Valhalla.  Just like what everyone else says about Schiit products.  Very, good looking and well built.  My wife didn't believe me when I told her the price.  Paired it with my HD600/Cardas combo.  Fed it from my (now vintage I guess) Marantz DV8004.  Forgot what a pain CDs were.  Computer audio has spoiled me.  Anyway this amp sounds great.  Man does it nail the midrange, sweet high and nice bass.

I am very, impressed with this amp.  Can't wait for my new DAC to get here..............

lextex, hi there,

I got a Valhalla and a Cambridge Audio DAC Magic 100. I would like a little review from you. I´m paring them with an AKG 702. Cant wait to get them.

I used the Valhalla with Dac Magic (original version) and HD 600s. It was an excellent pairing. I hve not heard the AKGs, but I'm sure you will be pleased. The Valhalla has a more "solid state" sound with a hint of tube in the midrange. It is an great sounding, well built amp.

Well finally I got my setup, after spending 2 hours listening, I can say the midrange are superv, however I need more listening hours to let them burn in. Both Valhalla and CA Magic DAC 100 works perfectly together.... The k702´s are really accurate, soundstage is awesome... but as I said need to let them burn in...

I listened the "Buena Vista Social Club" FLAC lossless cd rip I got, and I was amazed of the details I got. I recomend this CD! Great performance for a <2hrs burn in setup.

How long did you wait to considered them "BURN IN"?
