HELP:Able Planet NC1000CH Groupon... Good deal?

Thread Starter

Hello all and thanks in advance for answering this question. My Aiaiai TMA-1's just broke (my fault, no warranty will cover this) and I am dying with my iphone buds. Anyway, I got my daily groupon email and they are selling Able Planet NC1000CH's for $69 -- normally I would never drop $300 on these, but $69 is not bad especially if they are ultimately temporary. Please let me know if I should pull the trigger on these or just fork over the dough on another high end pair of cans?

Thanks

Heya,

For $69, why not? They're not my cup of tea, but I'd be willing to try them at least.

Otherwise, get the headphone you've always wanted. Now's the time.

Very best,

Well...you have a point, lol

I have a few pairs.

The sound signature: highest treble rolls off, lower treble sparks/vocal bumps, upper bass bumps, lowest bass is not there, --  very pleasant sound, actually. Noise cancellation is lesser than Bose, still very good. I'd put them around $150. Basically it sounds like a lesser version of Bose Quiet Comfort 2.

Caution - Their different models have similar name. They even have two 500 models, confusing. Mak sure you actually get a bargain.
