Speakers for Bass Guitar and Monitoring

I'm looking to kill two birds with one stone here;

I'm currently picking up bass in a group and want to get some speakers at home.

What would you recommend for ~1k or below speakers for this situation?

I'd rather prefer not to get a giant bass cabinet because they all seem overpriced for the sound they deliver and I have that audiophile bug.

You should be looking for a bass guitar amp instead. Bass guitar amps and monitor speakers serve different purposes.

I decided to start building a fEARful bass, since its full ranged and will also suit piano
