It is a bit odd that you picked these two as your finalists given how completely different they are from each other. To help us steer you in the right direction, maybe you can give us some more background:
-Where will you be using these primarily? Home use only or will you use them while on transit? This will dictate the design and size of the headphones that are ideal. If they will be used on-the-go, then neither are very ideal(try Sennheiser HD25) although the Pro 900 is more ideal than the Q701.
-Do you need isolation? The Q701 is open-backed which means sound will leak in and out. If you will be listening in noisy environments or do not wish to disturb those around you, then look into a closed-back alternative (Shure SRH940).
-Which amps in particular will you be using?
-What aspects of music listening do you value the most? Do you love detail? Are you looking for a non-fatiguing sound that let's you listen for long periods? Do you like aggressive energy or do you prefer a relaxed presentation?

It was mainly for the price that I would be receiving. I just posted a new thread which would probably answer your questions. I would love your opinion on the new thread.
