What are some of the best headphones I can buy for $200? Need a pair to use with my iphone.

Ok, I'm not a headphone specialist or anything like that. I just want a nice pair of headphones that will be at max $200.

What's the best(or one of the best) that I could get for this price?

I need it for my iphone, so it needs the remote and mic on the cable so I can answer calls with them and control music. I also want them to fit completely around my ears. I tried ones from skull candy before(40nm, or mm, or whatever, i don't remember)  and they didn't fit completely around my ears. They like squeezed them and pushed my ears into my head. I did not like that. So I want a pair where the part that goes around your ears, fits completely around my ears. You understand? They need to be comfortable, have good bass(for metal and rap music), and be of good quality material. I don't want them to break after just 3 months or something like that. No in-ear headphones too.

So anyone have a recommendation? Any reasons for why you would recommend certain ones, etc would be appreciated. Thanks!

Off the top of my head, the only around ear cans with an inline control that come to mind is the Crossfade LP2 by V-Moda. I'm pretty sure they have a mic too and they're right at your 200dollar point. There are a few reviews on them and their little brother the LP. Essentially they're improved LP's.

If you decide to buy them before the 25th of this month, use the coupon code HEAD-FI for 14.4% off. Just a heads up, I'm thinking about getting a similar on ear model.

edit: just to clarify, since you want to drive them from your iphone, I'm assuming you want to use them as portables and you want closed back cans.

Try a WS55i Portable Audio Technicas. You can read my review here on them.. The WS55i have the Iphone controls on them with mic. I was listening to my pair all day today.. These are fantastic and will cost you half of what you was planning on paying. http://www.head-fi.org/t/567012/the-portable-bass-kings-the-pioneer-hdj500-vs-akg-518-le-vs-the-first-look-at-the-new-at-ws55-solid-bass/75#post_7892824 And the newer V-moda M-80s can be baught for $200 with Iphone controls.. I have both. I actually prefer my WS55.. The V-moda is supremely balanced though.

NVM I didn't read the part that you wanted a full around the ears part. Both these are on ears. The ES55 does mostly fit around the ear though. It is a bigger portable.

To give my honest two cents, if you want to use these cans as portable, you're better off looking for on ear rather than over ear. Over ears are usually fully sized cans, which doesn't equate to much practicality in portability.
