Hello, I'm new to the forum, but have visited many times before in curiosity of headphones. I've went from having a pair of iPod ear buds, to Skullcandy Skullcrushers (which was a great step up from the ear buds), to Sennheiser HD 280 Pro's (which amazed me how much better these were than the Skullcandy's) , now on to the Audio Technica ATH-M50's. I have used the M50's for a few hours now, and it surprises me how much better sounding they are than the HD 280 Pro's.. I didn't think you could get much better sounding than the 280 Pro's at the price tag you pay for them, but I was wrong. I didn't like the sound of the M50's at first, but I think it's because I was so used to the 280's, now I'm starting to like them more and more. I'll be using them mostly on my computer with my ASUS Xonar Essense SXT sound card, or portable with my iPod/e5 fioo amp. Gonna have to deal with the long ass straight cable, anyone have any tips for going portable with this long cable?

Overall excellent buds, very good sound quality, especially for their price, the medium set of tips fits exactly in my ears and provides a near perfect seal. Bass is very detailed, but not...

I'll keep this very short. They are very smooth sounding. Treble toned down so not so good for rock but have a magic about them that makes them better than mark 2. I use them with a '89/'90...

Heya,
Braid the cord. Or just coil it up and tie with a twist tie.
Very best,
What do you mean by braiding it?

Do you have any friends, spouse, family that are females?
If not, go to youtube, and type in "how to braid". It's amazing what you can find these days if you actually look. With video instruction. With a pause button. And replay.
Very best,

There are good guides on the internet, just do some research.
