Sound Card for mainly music

Thread Starter

I am currently running off of on board audio but I want to get a sound card to eliminate external noise.

I use Grado SR80i and Klipsch promedia 2.1. I would like for the soundcard to have a headphone amp on it as well. Right now, my budget is around $50 to $70. However, I am willing to go a bit higher if there is a good reason. I listen to all genres of music (literally everything).

Please suggest some options. Thank you!

Anyone?

I was looking at the asus xonar DG... However, I have no clue if that is a good card or not.

Its a decent sound card with built in amp for the price.

alright thanks. Is it a good enough amp to for the grados?

EDIT: the on board realtek chip makes the headphones sound somewhat muddy and it doesn't really get loud at all.

Yup, grado's are not hard to drive. It should be fine.
