In search of the best headphone solution

I'm looking for a recommendation on a closed headphone design that I could wear comfortably while relaxed in bed. I have decided on a closed design so I dont disturb my wife who generaly complains when I wear my Grado 325's. I was really set on trying the HD 800 but that would not please my wife with the open design. I have a pair of Unique Melody Merlins on the way but due to the vent hole on these I'm suspecting there will be some leakage. So far my Sure 530's do the trick but I was looking for something a little warmer sounding. So if anyone has a collection of cans that could appreciate my dilema and would like to recommend something short of getting rid of my wife, I'm all ears. (sorry for the pun).

Does Unique Melody not have a plug you could use on the ambient vent? I know JH Audio does for their IEMs.

What kind of music do you listen to?

Very generally, the Sony MDR-V6 might work. Comfy, closed and the price is right. Your wife will like them.

Though another closed can might be better depending on your music. Let us know.
