You want circumaural and close? That's the exact opposite of a Grado...
If you want a Grado-esque sound give the Creative Aurvana Live a shot. I've actually got one for sale as I just finished my review on it. You'll get more bass but it's not overpowering.
The DT770 is in a completely other direction. While it meets your criteria it's very boomy in the bass department and the bass is quite overpowering. Though you do own the 990s so you must like bass.
I'd suggest the CAL (low clamp supra aural), Phiaton MS400 (low clamp supra aural), Koss ProDJ100 (circumaural with M50 pads).
These are random 'all rounder suggestions' as you didn't state a music preference and the headphones you're looking at are kind of all over the board sound signature wise...
