Largest soundstage headphones under about $150-200?

Requirements:

-detachable cord

-over the ear

-impedance suitable for being driven off the home theater 'phones output

-must have accurate and clear sound like the Shure SRH440

-most spacious soundstage possible

-primary use: movies

Sennheiser HD 598 is a good option.

The Ultrasone headphones gives large surround sound effect and HFI2400 are highly recommended. The others are like AD900, DT990, DT880, HFI550 and HD555.

The AKG K-501 would be a good choice.

They're out of production, but turn up around $100-$150.

The K-501 doesn't have a detachable cable. It is possible to install a jack or cut the cable to install to install a jack on a short length.
