Just a newbie here looking for some headphones that will have some punchy bass, that are over the ear.

My price range goes to 200 USD.

I mostly need these for mixing music, and listening to Dubstep :0

Thanks~

ATH-PRO700. I have never heard them, but they are supposed to be heavily coloured bass monsters.

Here's a review: http://www.headfonia.com/bass-to-the-power-of-two-pro700-mk2/

You're gonna use bass monsters for mixing?

I'm mostly mixing dubstep, bits of Electronic and house... Mostly the WOBS.

Use neutral bass headphones for mixing. Enjoying a punchy and/or bass enhanced headphone is purely for playback.

What would you suggest for Natual Bass Headphones, and Bass Enhanced Headphones?

Sony MDR-7506 for mixing,

Sony MDR-XB500 for Dubstep playback.

Would it make too much of a difference if I got the Sony MDR-7506's and Audio Technica ATH-Pro700MK2?

Only because the AT's are a bit more slim than the Xb500's

If  you want a strict budget HARX900, I know people are going to come in and say Panasonic HTF-600, I got a set of the XB500s for around $40 used.

Couldn't say, I haven't heard those. I have however owned/auditioned a lot of headphones and the Sony XB500 are clearly the best for in-your-face sub-woofer type bass that Dubstep is unequivocally all about. Headphones like the Ultrasone HFI-780 & Pro-900 as well as Beyers DT770 and Denons D2000 have good bass and would be considered more hi-fi for their balanced sound, however the downright silly reverberating bass from the Sony XBs trump those.

MDR-V6 or MDR-7056 for mixing

DT 770 Pro 80 ohms for dubstep

If I use the DT 770's for my iPod, do I need an AMP or anything? or can I just wire them up and use em.
