What headphones would suit me? Female, ~$100

Hi all!

So I'm wanting to get a pair of headphones for around $100. It would be for recreational listening, and i like a little bit of bass (listen to pop, house, electro, etc..).

I like the idea of colourful headphones (wesc, urban ears, ..) but from what i gather they arn't all that great sound quality wise. Are there any funky, colourful headphones that make good sounds??

I'd also like a set of headphones that doesn't leak music.

Any idea what headphones would suit me?? I definately want headphones (not in ear!)

Check out the ones they got on Audio Cubes. Pick one then google it to see if there are any reviews. I'd personally pick the Tracks if I weren't in loved  with my Porta Pro's.

Head-fi geeks are shy. They are easily intimidated by girls. Next time, you may want to leave that out.

Pioneer HDJ500 ? I've heard them and they don't sound too bad IMO. The Skullcandy Aviators are also nice, although they are not often sold at $100.

at the aviator price, the m50, shure srh750dj, and a few others would become contenders.

True, although I think many of those headphones don't look so good on girls. DJ style headphones are good looking IMO.

This is a must read (portable and semi-full size). There are quite a few colourful or cool headphones there. There's a summary table at the end too.

There is a negative correlation between "funkiness" and sound quality.  You'd need to make a compromise if you care more about sound then looks. If you like professional looks, then you shouldn't have trouble finding a good pair.
