I currently use a really long y cable from the line out of my computer's built in realtek card. I am going to be moving soon and I think I'm gonna move my stereo reciver closer to my computer. I was looking for an upgrade in sound for music.

The options i found so far are the

HRT Music Streamer II

Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium HD

Asus Xonar sound card

All of these have rca outputs and they are less then 200, out of the two which do you think sounds better for MUSIC. If their a better option what is it?

Kind of off topic but will the HRT allow sound to come from video games off my computer

Bump

I also found the v-dac and bitfrost but those look a tad bit high but im not sure if it because they have more ports or they have more ports and sound better

If your receiver has S/PDIF coaxial or Toslink inputs, consider a V-LINK. Also, consider an X-FI HD. It's a nice DAC, ADC, and USB to Toslink and Toslink to USB interface.

Does your built in Realtek solution have a SPDIF output?
