Anyone play music for their birds?  My African Grey and Eclectus enjoy pop and classical music but hate rock, rap and dubstep.

 

The grey has learned to whistle the first half of the Indiana Jones theme but will not take to Super Mario 2 =(.

I once have a parrot (6-8 years ago) and we don't play music for them. Otherwise they'll keep singing. :)

 

I can see why they hate rock, rap and dubstep. There are too much noise for them to enjoy.

aww that's a female eclectus. one of my birds a moluccan cockatoo sings a little neil diamond lol. he says like real fast song sung blue haha. with an eclectus you either get a good talker(singer?) or you don't. that is not why anyone should get a bird though. the grey is almost always a good talker. it is known that fast,loud stuff upsets most of them. i suppose that is why they don't like rap techno etc. it probably depends on the bird though. they are smart enough that they are all different. however, probably best not to play anything with a lot of cuss words. some bird parents find that funny but guests etc. may be offended. actually i find the idea of a gangster rapping bird funny too but i wouldnt attempt it.

i could start some odd species-fi but i think i may be alone. hey, an ostrich is a bird lol.

lol. do you know hard it is to catch a freakin ostrich. let alone get something on it's head. that should make national geographic. those suckers are fast! hmm. maybe some iem's they have a rather small head 'ya know. heck for all i know maybe they are audiophiles!

Talk to a taxidermist, he will sort it out for you. Of course the ensuing photo won't do much for the ostrich, but at least it will entertain us.

hey, thats not nice! i love the red head but i fell in love with the candy corn beak. hmm.... i see a baby girl coming.
