Once I had a friend over at my house, and when he saw my K702s, he said, "Wow, those are huge! They must have some monstrous bass!" Boy, was he ever disappointed.

On the other hand, the K702s do have some "monstrous" resolution.

And everyone knows, the first rule of headphone listening is "no talking."

All of my better headphones are open design, so going outside with them is kind of silly. I want to block ambient noise, not drown it out.

My travel phones are pairs of trusty HD 25-I II and Shure SRH-840. The Sennheisers are lighter and more portable and sound a little better but the Shures are more comfortable for long listening sessions. They also double as office phones when I have to share workspaces with others.

I like the sound I can get from IEMs but so far I haven't been happy with their reliability (and their compatibility with my ears, well, wax production). I wouldn't rule out the possibility of owning customs by some future date, though.

The only "good" headphones I take outside - traveling or otherwise - are my HD 25 I II.

My neighborhood walk around (and gym) headphones are the Yamaha RH5MA -

which, BTW, I think are often overlooked.

They're great in their price range.

Replaced my AT ES7's

From now on those will be my only portable headphones.

I wore my Grados a couple times before they had wood cups, but I typically use IEMs, except I got my ProDJ100's now, so they'll be the outside rig :)

I wouldn't bring my 990's out though >_>

I used SR60i's on trains until I got my turbines. It worked out well, thinner cord, no need for the adapter and lighter (comparing to SR325i). I used to get the looks even with the SR60s. Can't really imagine using SR325s on the go though!

My headphones never go out of the house, it's just too unwieldly and feels weird walking around on the street with it.

I only use IEMs in public.

I did remember taking a short walk with my A2000X before, that was strangely do able.

My portable phone have always been big, from SRH840, DT150. Nothing as fun as riding my BMX with them on. I have a clip on my belt for the sneaky 3m cable on the Beyer too.

I took my HE-500 and T50RP outside yesterday....to a meet :)

For portable use I only use earphones or customs.

Lucky bastard. I want another meet in London this year, it was fun last time, UK government should actively seek Head-Fiers into UK.
