Of course, I know the black & matte is very likely to sound the same as the white & glossy, but you never know, a slight change in materials could lead to a perceivable change in sound. This is why I ask someone who owns both.

I didn't order CK-700 black. The black I mentioned were CK-800 & they are pure ****. All are **** except CK-700.
@nipit: Oh, I see.
Thank you for the answer.
Call me crazy, but I like these cheapos more than Meelectronics A151.
I understand what you mean. I hardly touch my Meelec M6 since i got the CK-700. Such fun iem it has proved to be. With my ZO2 ver.1, it sounds even better. ZO opens up the soundstage a lot more but hardly distorts even at it's highest settings with my RB Sansa Fuze 8gb source.

Without a doubt my pick of the bunch, i laughed when i saw 10-20000Hz but these really do go low on the bass.

I thought they were, just being CK-M700 instead of 700, maybe just a minor thing different about them until i saw the specs plus they are quite a bit smaller than the CK-700:
Impedance - CK-700: 18ohms CK-M700: 40ohms
Frequency Response - CK-700: 20-20000 CK-M700: 10-20000
Sensitivity - CK-700: 90db CK-M700: 106db
I picked up both and i like them both but prefer the M700.
Looks like CK-M700 has different kind of cable too.
Do CK-M700 and CK-700 share the same sound signature?

Yeah i think the cable is better on the M700, fabric and no microphonics at all.
I think the sound is quite a bit different, first impressions are that the M700 has a less harsh treble than the 700, definitely seems to be bass focused, i still like the highs though but overall not as clear as the 700. I think they improve with an amp as well, makes it a bit more clear and tightens up the bass.
I am not sure I would dare wearing those red 'crystal decorated' CK-M700 in public, though.

damnit! I bought the black ones thinking they were the same. lol
Black ones aren't CK-M700. Black&White=CK-700 Red=CK-M700. Black ones are most likely the same as the white ones.
