Gear mentioned in this thread:
I have about 40hours by now and I got the black ones. I use PC->grubDAC->E6.
Sound quality-wise I think Monoprice>MEE M6=CK700. My main gripe with the CK700 is that they sound rather distant and also lacks detail.
There's something really odd going on in the upper end. Female vocals sounds quite distant and there's a definite spike in the highs that make certain sybals/claps sound harsh. I do like the lows though, good impact without sounding too muddy.
It's not bad for its price, it's probably better than most iems you can find for $6 but it's just not worth keeping for me.

Thanks for your replies.
Do anyone own both the black and white color CK700's?
I am thinking if there are any differences in sound?
I have ordered the black ones...

Just received my white CK-700's, the very same as the ones the OP insisted on, and while they're definitely an incredible value, they're a tad too bass-heavy for my ears, especially in regards to the midbass. I also encountered a LOT of driver flex from both sides, but that matters not once they're securely in place. As per the sound, I prefer the more balanced Monoprice 8320, but these will make for an excellent spare. Yet another great find, I must say!
I'm planning to buy RED http://www.focalprice.com/EP769R/InEar_Headphone_with_Crystal_Decoration_35mm_Jack_120cm_Cable_Red.html
and the WHITE ones

Those who have these items, please give more review for it, thanks! Like their durability, are they still ok now?
And BY THE WAY, the WHITE one is just almost 5$ now cause of 17% off until the end of January...

I'm not sure if you noticed that these just share the same housing. Insides are different.

Purchased. Expect comparisons to the Monoprice 8320, Philips SHE3580, and Thermaltake Isurus, all of these cheap IEM FotM when they arrive.
Yeahp, they just have the same material outside although the RED one has clothed/fibre wires.
I'm just asking for their durability, like for those people who have the white or the black ones; how are they going with it? Did the wires easily trips inside?

The white ones have considerably larger housings than the red ones.
The plastic on the jack has come off my white ones, though i don't think either will last years. Sound for me makes up for the build quality.

dealextreme now has xears lookalikes if some of you are interested
$5 now! Couldn't resist myself, I gave in and purchased the white ones. That frequency response..
will post impressions in a few days.
Added comparison to the SHE3580:
Philips SHE3580
Comfort:
Both IEMs are very comfortable once in your ear, but the SHE3580 has the advantage of being lighter and shorter than the CK-700. This means that the SHE3850 has the huge advantage of being comfortable while sleeping.
Isolation:
Better with the CK-700, thanks to its metal housing and slightly thicker more rubberised tips.
Treble :
Both IEMs offer quality treble with good extension but in terms of amount, the CK-700 has the SHE3580 beat. There’s just so much more sparkle evident on songs like ”Incubus - Are You In” and “Jessy J – Running Away” (not to be confused with Jessie J, though she’s not bad either). That’s not to say the treble on SHE3580 is lacking. I think it has the right amount to be considered “flat”.
Mids:
This is the range where the CK-700s biggest flaw lies. Somewhere near 5 kHz is a noticeable peak, which comes across in some songs as harshness and/or sibilance. This renders some (a small percent of) songs annoying and sometimes unlistenable. Nevertheless, the mids are very clear and detailed.
The SHE3580 is nice and flat in this area (smooth sounding) with negligible sibilance, thus, the SHE3580 is more forgiving of poorly recorded material. Nonetheless, the CK-700 still has the edge in detail, especially with more complex songs. (test song: “Brooke Fraser - Hosea's Wife”)
Bass:
Teriffic bass from both IEMs, but noticeably more midbass present on the SHE3580 (this is not a bad thing; I found the midbass on the CK-700 to be lacking) and a bit tighter sounding too. But this is probably due to the CK-700 having more sub bass! At a guess, maybe 40% more in the sub 50hz range (test song: “Three 6 Mafia – Late Nite Tip”). This amount may seem excessive at first, but once you get used to this, it’s actually quite pleasing.
Soundstage:
Instruments and voices from the CK-700 seem to come from different locations at every angle, whereas with the SHE3580, they seemed clumped together in a small area to the side. This difference is subtle though, and only noticeable on some songs. (Test song: “Nine Inch Nails - We're In This Together”)
Overall, comparing them side by side, they don’t actually sound all that different. Both IEMs have terrific bass, extended treble and overall excellent sound quality. Heck, I even got the IEMs mixed up a few times while listening to them. The difference is even less noticeable if you use a filter mod on the CK-700 to tame the mids and highs.
There’s no clear winner here. For me personally, despite its midrange peak, I still prefer the CK-700 for its deeper bass, better detail and more sparkley treble (which makes songs like “Inna - Amazing” and “Magnetic Man – Getting Nowhere” just that much more fun). I can see many preferring the less flawed, warmer, more flat sounding (akin to commercial Hi-Fi) SHE3580 though.
I see, thanks for those information mvmv. :)
I'll be giving them as a gift anyways, hope that with extreme care they'll last for long. :)
Nice comparison too Ranked! I'm getting excited to receive mine now. I'll be posting a mini review comparing it to Monster Turbine Pro Gold when I receive it.
The driver in these are so tiny! They really are 7mm. Amazing how much bass these can pump out.
They sounded about the same without the housing, so no potential mods here :(

Received mine today.
Before purchase I thought that they have 11mm drivers.
But these things have 7mm drivers (I did not open them, its written on the back of the box).
Focal accidentally sent me the white ones (I have ordered the black).
First impressions: Cheap build quality. Glue, glue, glue everywhere... Horrible and stiff cord. Very high microphonics. No chin slider...
Sound-stage width and detail is outstanding! Other than that I am not very impressed before burn-in. But don't take my word seriously before burn-in.
I will inform you again after burn-in.
Summary of first impressions: Not bad for a 6USD iem (including shipping).
