Help Me Set Up My System

*I apoligise in advance if this is in the wrong forum*

Hello, I recently bought a Yamaha KX-393 cassette deck and now need to get an amplifier and speakers to go with it. This system will just be for my personal use in my bedroom so I don't need anything fancy.

I was thinking this amplifier:

These speakers:

What do you guys think? These are both very reasonably priced and have excellent reviews.

One more thing, I'm not to sure what sort of cables are required to connect an amplifier and a cassette deck. Is it just these ones:

If not if somebody could post me a link of the ones I need that would be great.

Any help is hugely appreciated as I am complete novice.

I don't think you'll get too many responses in this forum, as it's mainly geared towards headphone listening. I can only answer the cable question, and it seems to be the right kind.

Have you considered purchasing a CD player to use as well?

Oh and this particular section of the forum usually discusses really high end equipment.

If you can stretch your pocket somewhat, you will end up with better sound.

Shese will give you considerable better sound:

If you get a CD player, it will give you better sound as well. CDs last longer than tapes too, so better investment.

These are decent speakers that beats your selection.

These are ecnomical cables that will improve on the stock.

Spend a little more and your ears will thank you.

Is "High-end Forum" really the best placement you could think of, considering you're looking at a £45 amp? :P

You really are in the wrong forum seeing as your selected audio devices are VERY low-end audio!

Also, this is a headphone forum, not a cassette deck/amp/cable forum.

Isn't high end usually associated with price-is-no-factor? tongue_smile.gif
