I have heard lots of headphones at meets yet two that are on my short list I have not. I am looking to upgrade from Shure 840s for dedicated desktop system with SPL Phonitor and good dac. I have heard the Beyer 880s at RMAF but they were 32 ohm I believe. A bit bright but the most pleasing Freq resp of the Beyers I tried at the show(that I could afford).
I have not heard Senn 600s ever. I used to own 650s and felt they were a bit distant in the upper mids and a bit lacking in transients on highs. I do have a friend who will be bringing over a pair in the next few weeks so I can try them again. The freq response of the 600s look that I might like it.
If anyone is in Denver that can let me audition either of these cans I would be grateful. I can hold a mini meet at my house north of Denver. Many thanks and if there is any other can under $350 used that might be close to the sound sig of the aforementioned let me know. I did like the Denon 2000 but feel the open back did bass a bit better.
