Hey, Long time reader of the forums but only just needing advice, I'm afraid...
For many years I used a trusty combo of iRiver h140, CMOY amp and Beyerdynamic DT 931s everywhere I went. They served me very, very well; commuting to and from work, used when out and about, and connected to hi-fi both at home and at work.
Unfortunately, they've met their untimely end in the same accident and need replacing...
I'm looking for a portable player that has the same sturdiness, sound quality and lack of fussiness as the iRiver. I don't need to play games, watch videos or have web access; I've got an HTC Desire Z for that. I'd rather have plenty of battery life.
Not really an Apple fan so an iPod is the last choice...
I've got a large music collection with everything that isn't Dubstep represented in there so the more space, the better!
As I'm so far out of the loop, is there anything current that compares to the h140 in battery life or utilitarian usefulness?
I'll get myself another CMOY and try a few cans out too... Many thanks in advance :)
