polk audio monitor60 series II floorstanding loudspeaker

so my next door neighbor gave my family this receiver, the marantz sr6200, and will this receiver be suitable for these speakers? it is like almost 12 years old and still works.

i don't know much about receivers, so forgive my ignorance ;/

Assuming the receiver is still in decent condition, it should be more than good enough for those speakers. Feed it via the coax S/PDIF if you can or just use a pair of the RCA ins if you already have a DAC that you like. I wouldn't go nuts with the interconnects or speaker cable . . . go monoprice.com for now.
