I am in the same place. But the adventure in me says it'll be fun to engage the process, no matter how far I get. I'm going to select something that I can successfully complete through build or repair to build confidence. I may try cables first and then have a look at small amps (diy kits).

They're so a low key outfit, this is the second time in a week I forgot about the new music server. Happy  But W4S and Simple Designs collaborated on the i2s output, so... there's goodness to be had either way - they both use PS Audio's balanced i2s design, this is why ordinary is2 outputs from most devices will not work with the DAC-2 without modification (FYI).
