Hey Guys,
Hopefully someone here can give me some information. I'm quite particular about my music and how it sounds and I prefer to listen to it through headphones and on occasion when no-one is around I'll crank it through my desktop speakers. My system isn't top notch but it does a great job for what I am looking for.
I built my own PC and have the following sound compenents:
- SIIG IC-51002-S2 5.1 Channels PCI Interface Soundwave
- Sennheiser HD448 Closed Hi-Fi Headphones
- Logitech THX-Certified Speaker System Z623
Its not the greatest of the great but its what works best for me on my budget.
What I am interested in expanding into is headphone or desktop amplifiers. I've been researching the various FiiO models and focused in on the FiiO E10, FiiO A1, and the FiiO E9
I currently run my speakers from the back of my soundcard and connect them to my subwoofer. My headphones are then plugged in via the side jack on one of the speakers. My question is this:
- Can any of these FiiO models work well with my system? If so, what would you guys recommend?
- Also, can any of these models provide me the capability to amplify my headphones when I choose to and my regular speakers when I choose to?
What confuses me the most is the wiring, the E10 seems pretty straight forward but the others have me lost since I am running my current setup off my soundcard.
Sorry for the long winded question but wanted to make sure all of the needed information was available
Thanks in advance!
Bill
