I'm a student at the U of U right now and have been looking for others who are around this area  and would want to meet up and whatnot? Been itching to hear some new gear. beyersmile.png

Bump... I now know there are definitely other Utahn's on here. Who's down for a meet?

I'm from Utah and I've always wanted to have a meet! The only headphones I have currently are HD595s.

Guys, you just missed our last meet. But you can see the headfiers list in the following thread:

There are more than that... I've found (They keep finding their way to me =-/ ) like 5-6 more since the meet..

We had a minimeet just last week, but I was thinking we'll do a Christmas meet as well. Anybody ok with that?!

Perhaps this time we could have it in Ray's vintage audio plane hangar... I forget which company but somebody used to make sound equipment there, so there's really a lot of history to it as well.

I think he's also got an ice cream machine. biggrin.gif (trololol)

I'm headed to Ogden in a month, I have a few venues in mind for next meet whenever people are ready. EricJ, there are a bunch of people (like 2or3 who would like to car-pool with you as well. (Save the gas) If we would like, next meet could have a lot of people if we wanted it to.

I just need to know if we're interested.

Btw, food for thought, the majority of us live within 5 miles of each other.. Teheehe evil_smiley.gif

I live in the Aves so probably not to far from you if you live by U of U.  Relatively new to headfi and will be getting my first setup soon.  Would def be interested in any future meets.

Def interested in a Christmas meet.  Any particular draw to Ogden or is this just were the majority of Hifier members live?  I'm new to the state but have heard good things about "O town".

I'll let Hennyo explain more in detail but I think it's just basically because Ray has a shop up there and is interested in hosting a meet if we have one.

Ray has shop.

Ray has 2 Orhpeus. biggrin.gif Admittadly, this does have something to do with it.. The venue is big, large, heated, ice cream/ice machines (I think). Ray was saying it's nice place.

Hey bdh, are you available? On a side note, I know a guy with a CNC.... These sound really cool. I would test them out on Eric's amp! biggrin.gif

Diy electrostats sound very appealing to me.. Been thinking about it for awhile but I might look into it.. I've known where to get all the parts for a bit now. (Thanks to the great documentation on multiple sites).

Awesome, thanks for the explanation!  I'd def be interested in a Christmas' meet at the airplane hanger.  Keep us in the loop if the plan materializes...
