I think Beyers are much better. The dt770 is far better than the m50.

No, not at that price. You should be able to get far better for those prices.

Its only worth about half that price.

m50 should cost no more than 100 dollars...right now its price is inflated.

It's striking how much the M50 hype has died down. I didn't mind the M50, but the hyperbole surrounding it was over the top. I'd pay $120 max for it, purely because it's built like a tank.

Can't you import it from elsewhere and have it shipped to you?

Even in the time i joined the site till now i have noticed the m50 hyped has gone way down. When i first join it was i need new headphones under $150 and everyone would say m50. Now people actually give different models or brands for different reasons. I see a lot of srh840 recommendations.

I think the shure is a good deal right now at $130.00 average price, very nice sounding can, and it even comes with replacement earpadswink.gif

I got mine for that price at best buy on sale. Great price for great cans.

Heya,

Nope.

I would only re-buy the M50 if it were a $50 headphone and needed absolute isolation. Otherwise, I'd pick the Panasonic HTF600 over it for everything else other than isolation. The M50 is an over priced mediocre headphone.

Very best,

that reminds of how the D2000 was the FOTM when I rekindled my love affair of headphones

now, 2 years after owning them, they still shine!

sometimes it goes from FOTM to classic.

I have a feeling the D2000s will around for a while and if not, then it'll be a sought after headphone when/if it's production ends.

Nah, I wouldn't say so.

$150 is average for them. Anything higher and it gets steep.

Absolutely not.

The M50 is worth about $150. If you could get it at $100 it is a very good headphone, otherwise no.
