what to change? sound card or headphones ?

hello ppl

i have asus xonar dg sound card and razer orca headphones, (50% music 25% movies 25% games) at this moment i can buy new headphones in under 200 usd range category or  i can buy a new sound card instead of it (xonar essence or claro halo) as far as i understood after reading a lot on this forum i would get better results if i upgrade my headphones, but i am still not sure that i am right.

so my options are that i keep xonar dg and will purchase one of these (or maybe there are some more models that you'll advise)

Beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO

Ultrasone HFI-580 S

Fostex T50RP

AKG K 271 MK II

or i keep razer orca, buy essence or halo and in some time i also upgrade my headphones

any kind of advise would be helpful

thanks ppl :)

Headphones will give you the most significant upgrade.

Have you considered the Grado SR-60i? You might enjoy it.
